Business Development Manager

Role Overview

This home-based Business Development Manager position focuses on cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with customers within the DIY retail sector . The role involves identifying growth opportunities within lighting categories and managing the sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation.

Core Responsibilities

• Relationship Management: Develop and nurture relationships with new and existing retail accounts and key decision-makers.
• Account Strategy: Create, own, and execute strategic account plans and promotional strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Commercial Negotiation: Identify growth opportunities, lead commercial negotiations, and manage customer contracts.
• Category Analysis: Present and benchmark products against competitors using a category management approach to deliver data-driven sales pitches.
• Market Intelligence: Analyse sales data and market trends to inform strategic decision-making and maximize revenue.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to support product launches and marketing campaigns.

Candidate Requirements

• Channel Expertise: Proven sales experience and knowledge within the Grocer and/or DIY retail channels.
• Skills: Strong presentation, negotiation, relationship-building, and data analysis capabilities.

Pay: £50,000.00-£75,000.00 per year
