Business Development Manager

WizardQuant is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support the continued expansion of our global quantitative trading business. This role focuses on developing and managing relationships across the trading ecosystem, including brokers, exchanges, and other market infrastructure providers.

Based in our NY office, you will work closely with trading, technology, and operations teams to optimize market access, evaluate new opportunities, and help drive our global trading strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with global brokers, exchanges, market data vendors, and other trading infrastructure providers.
• Lead broker onboarding and setup processes, including account opening, connectivity coordination, operational readiness, and ongoing relationship management.
• Coordinate exchange connectivity projects, working with both internal engineering teams and external counterparties to ensure reliable market access.
• Evaluate exchange and broker commercial terms, including fees, rebates, colocation services, market data licensing, and connectivity costs, identifying opportunities for optimization.
• Monitor developments in global market structure, exchange rules, broker offerings, and regulatory changes, providing timely market intelligence and strategic recommendations.
• Support the firm's expansion into new markets, products, and trading venues by coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Identify operational and business risks related to market access and external counterparties, and proactively drive mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve automation and operational efficiency across broker and exchange workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience working at a broker, exchange, proprietary trading firm, market maker, or high-frequency trading firm.
• Solid understanding of the broker ecosystem, including broker onboarding, relationship management, execution services, clearing, and market connectivity.
• Familiarity with exchange connectivity, market access infrastructure, and exchange commercial models.
• Strong knowledge of APAC and/or US electronic trading markets, particularly equities, futures, options, or other listed products.
• Ability to analyze market developments and synthesize actionable market intelligence.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience coordinating across internal technical teams and external partners.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Experience using Excel, Python, SQL, or similar analytical tools is a plus.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
