What they need
Business Development Manager | Beauty & Personal Care (CDMO)
Location: Warminster, PA | Remote U.S. Approved
Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time
Compensation: Performance-driven compensation offering a high-income opportunity with uncapped commission potential and substantial upside for high-performing business development professionals who successfully generate new customers and revenue growth.
About the Opportunity
Renu Laboratories (Renu Labs) is an established and growing beauty and personal care contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new customer acquisition and revenue growth across the beauty, cosmetics, and personal care markets.
This opportunity is designed for a true business development hunter who enjoys opening doors, building relationships, creating opportunities, and closing new business.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record selling contract manufacturing, formulation, private-label, or related services to customers ranging from indie and founder-led beauty brands and high-growth emerging companies to established personal care organizations and multinational consumer brands.
This is a highly visible, performance-driven role with the opportunity to directly impact Renu's revenue growth, build long-term customer relationships, and help shape our commercial growth strategy.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
You'll represent a manufacturer with a compelling value proposition: high-quality formulation expertise, flexible manufacturing capacity, competitive pricing, regulatory and quality capabilities, and speed-to-market.
Importantly, Renu Labs can support customers earlier in their growth cycle. With minimum order quantities starting at approximately 5,000 units and production capabilities scaling up to 1 million units, you can pursue promising emerging brands and indie launches that may not meet the higher minimums required by larger manufacturers—and then grow with those customers as they scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across beauty, skincare, haircare, body care, cosmetics, personal care, and adjacent product categories.
- Build relationships with key decision-makers at indie and founder-led brands, emerging growth companies, mid-sized beauty and personal care organizations, and global consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies.
- Market and sell Renu's CDMO capabilities, including custom and market-ready formulations, product development, manufacturing, filling and packaging, regulatory and quality support, competitive pricing, and speed-to-market.
- Own the full business development and sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through samples, quotations, proposals, pricing, contract negotiation, onboarding, and commercial launch.
- Build a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities through targeted prospecting, cold outreach, industry relationships, referrals, networking, trade shows, conferences, and other business development channels.
- Understand each customer's product, formulation, volume, pricing, packaging, regulatory, and launch requirements and translate those needs into commercially viable manufacturing opportunities.
- Partner closely with R&D, formulation, operations, quality, regulatory, and production teams to develop competitive solutions and efficiently move opportunities from concept through commercialization.
- Lead customer presentations, capability discussions, product development meetings, facility tours, and manufacturing site visits.
- Develop commercially sound proposals that balance customer requirements, competitive pricing, manufacturing capabilities, capacity, margins, and long-term account potential.
- Maintain an active, well-qualified sales pipeline, accurately track opportunities and next steps, and consistently achieve new business and revenue objectives.
- Grow strategic customer relationships by identifying additional products, formulations, brands, and manufacturing opportunities within existing accounts.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, emerging brands, product innovation, and whitespace opportunities across the beauty and personal care industry.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of successful business development or sales experience, preferably within beauty, cosmetics, personal care, contract manufacturing, or a closely related industry.
- Demonstrated success prospecting, developing, and closing new B2B customers and generating measurable revenue growth.
- Experience selling within one or more of the following is strongly preferred:
- Beauty & Personal Care CDMO
- Cosmetics or Personal Care Contract Manufacturing
- Private-Label and White Label Manufacturing
- Skincare, Haircare, Body Care, or OTC Topical Manufacturing
- Cosmetic Formulation or Product Development Services
- Ingredient or Raw Material Suppliers serving beauty and personal care manufacturers
- Established relationships within the beauty, cosmetics, skincare, personal care, or CPG industry are highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the B2B sales process, including prospecting, qualification, proposals, pricing, negotiation, and account development.
- Ability to communicate effectively with brand founders, product developers, purchasing teams, senior executives, and technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and comfortable operating in a performance-driven environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical, formulation, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and operational teams.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
Compensation
This is a performance-driven business development opportunity with significant six-figure earning potential. Compensation includes uncapped commission potential and substantial upside for professionals who successfully acquire new customers, build strategic accounts, and generate profitable revenue growth.
About Renu Laboratories
Renu Laboratories is an established cosmetics and personal care contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) specializing in the development and manufacturing of high-quality skincare, haircare, body care, sun care, cosmetic, and OTC topical products.
At our core, Renu Laboratories is a cosmetic contract manufacturer built around a formulation lab. We combine deep formulation expertise with the manufacturing capabilities required to take products from initial concept through commercial-scale production.
With more than 20 years of industry experience, Renu combines in-house formulation and product development with flexible manufacturing, filling, packaging, labeling, and regulatory and quality support—providing customers with an integrated path from concept to commercial launch.
Our FDA-registered, cGMP-compliant manufacturing facility supports emerging and founder-led beauty brands, med spas and skincare professionals, established personal care companies, and larger consumer brands seeking a responsive and experienced manufacturing partner.
A key Renu advantage is manufacturing flexibility. With minimum order quantities starting at approximately 5,000 units and production capabilities scaling up to 1 million units, Renu can support emerging brands, indie launches, pilot programs, established companies, and growing brands that may not meet the higher minimums required by larger manufacturers.
For our business development team, that creates a powerful opportunity: build relationships with promising brands earlier in their journey and grow with those customers as they scale.
From custom and market-ready formulations to commercial-scale manufacturing, our focus is simple: help our customers develop better products, get them to market faster, and successfully scale their brands.
