ABOUT THE ROLE
Build the book. Then build the team.
First United Texas Title is a Frisco-based title agency. We opened in late 2022, we are profitable, and we are backed to grow from one office to several across the Dallas–Fort Worth market over the next three years.
We are hiring our first Senior Business Development Manager. You will own revenue growth for the agency — the relationships, the pipeline and the number. As the branch network grows, you will hire and lead the business development team underneath you.
This is not a seat at a large agency where fifteen reps call on the same agents and the sales leadership job went to someone nine years ago. It is a ground-floor role with a defined path to running the function.
THE WORK : What you will do
Win business
- Build and own referral relationships with real estate brokerages and agents, mortgage lenders, homebuilders, developers, real estate attorneys and commercial investors across DFW.
- Open new accounts and bring dormant ones back. Prospect deliberately — this is a hunting role, not an account-maintenance role.
- Pursue commercial and builder business alongside residential. Commercial files carry materially higher premium and are a priority for us.
- Run a disciplined pipeline in the CRM. Every account, contact, introduction and opportunity recorded and current.
Build presence
- Host client events, closing-table appreciation events, continuing education sessions and office presentations.
- Lead community outreach and local sponsorship that raises our profile in the markets we serve.
- Attend networking events, association meetings and industry functions, including some evenings and weekends.
- Build brand awareness through consistent presence, marketing material and co-branded activity.
Keep it
- Work with the escrow team so the service delivered matches what was promised. Winning the first file is half the job; earning the tenth is the other half.
- Own client feedback and escalations. Know why an account left and go and get it back.
Then lead
- Once you reach $1.1 million of annual net premium, we hire a Junior Business Development Manager reporting to you. A second follows as the next cluster of branches opens.
- You set their targets, coach them, and earn an override on everything they produce. Your base rises when the first one starts.
- Title progresses to Director of Business Development once two or more report to you.
THE NUMBER
What success looks like
We would rather tell you the target now than after you sign. First-year minimum gross premium production:
Gross premium Target Q1 - $150,000
Q2 :$250,000
Q3 - $350,000
Q4 - $500,000
Year one $1,250,000
You are also measured on new accounts opened, repeat-order rate by referral source, pipeline accuracy, and the quality of the relationships you leave behind.
ABOUT YOU
What we are looking for
Required
- Three or more years in business development, sales or account management, in title, escrow, mortgage, real estate services or a closely related field.
- A demonstrable record of opening new accounts and growing revenue — with numbers you can talk through.
- Working knowledge of the residential closing process and the people in it.
- Established relationships in the DFW real estate, lending or builder community, or the credibility and drive to build them quickly.
- Comfortable prospecting cold, presenting to a room, and running an event.
- Organised. You keep a CRM current without being asked.
- Valid Texas driver's licence, reliable vehicle and the ability to travel daily across DFW.
- Authorised to work in the United States. Employment is contingent on a background check and references.
Helpful, not required
- Existing book of business you can bring with you, subject to any obligations to a former employer.
- Commercial title or builder-account experience.
- Experience hiring, coaching or managing a salesperson.

Hybrid Hybrid work location remote & Frisco office.

IMPORTANT
How we sell
We are a licensed title insurance agent and a fiduciary holding our clients' closing funds. How business is won matters as much as whether it is won.
- No payment for referrals. RESPA Section 8 and Texas anti-rebate law prohibit giving anything of value in exchange for referred settlement service business. We follow both, without exception, and we expect you to.
- Promulgated rates. Title insurance premiums in Texas are set by the state. We do not discount, waive or promise rates outside the published schedule.
- Approvals. All events, sponsorships, gifts, entertainment and co-marketing require written approval before any commitment is made.
If you are looking for a shop that bends these rules, we are not it. If you have built a book inside them, you will do well here.
