Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join Pentas Flora Management Services Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Kuantan, Pahang, where you will play a crucial role in identifying, pursuing and securing new business opportunities to drive the growth and expansion of our organisation. As a Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in building strategic partnerships, developing new revenue streams and establishing our market presence in the region. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future direction of the company whilst working in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, markets and potential clients that align with the company's strategic objectives
• Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve sales targets and revenue growth
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients and strategic partners
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform business development initiatives and positioning
• Prepare compelling proposals, presentations and pitches to prospective clients and partners
• Negotiate and close commercial agreements to establish new business relationships and contracts
• Collaborate with internal teams including sales, operations and management to ensure successful implementation of new business initiatives
• Track, monitor and report on business development activities, pipeline progress and key performance metrics
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility
• Contribute to the development of marketing materials and communications that support business development efforts

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in business development, sales or related roles within a commercial environment
• Demonstrated success in identifying and closing new business opportunities and generating revenue growth
• Strong understanding of the sales process, from lead generation through contract negotiation and closure
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team whilst managing multiple priorities effectively
• Strategic thinking with a results-oriented mindset and drive to exceed targets
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and partners
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Sales or a related field is preferred
• Knowledge of the local Kuantan and Pahang market would be advantageous
