What they need

What if your next move wasn't just another sales role?

What if it was the chance to join a business that's growing year after year, investing heavily in its people and technology, and building something genuinely exciting within the recruitment sector?

At QUBA, we're entering a significant new phase of growth. Our teams are expanding, our technology is evolving, and our ambition has never been bigger. We're looking for a Business Development Manager who wants to be part of that journey.

Whether you're currently working in recruitment, recruitment technology, umbrella payroll or invoice finance, this is an opportunity to join a company that values teamwork, rewards hard work, invests in long-term careers and gives people the platform to succeed.

If you're motivated by growth, excited by innovation and want your earning potential to reflect your contribution, we'd love to hear from you. Together, we'll continue building an incredible business while helping recruitment entrepreneurs build theirs.

Who We Are

At QUBA, we're passionate about helping recruiters build successful businesses.

We provide specialist funding, back-office and technology solutions to the recruitment sector, giving agency owners the tools they need to start, scale and grow with confidence.

Everything we do is centred around empowering recruiters to succeed in their own right. By combining great people with innovative technology, we're helping ambitious entrepreneurs challenge the traditional recruitment landscape and build businesses that thrive.

We've spent the last decade building a business we're incredibly proud of. The next chapter is about scaling that success even further through innovation, ambition and the talented people who join us on the journey.

Who You Are

You're likely already operating within recruitment, recruitment technology, CRM sales, umbrella payroll or invoice finance and have built a reputation for opening doors, creating opportunities and winning business.

You understand that sales isn't always easy. Prospecting can be tough, decision-makers can be hard to reach and deals don't always happen overnight. You're comfortable with that because you know the rewards come from consistency, resilience and hard work.

We're looking for someone who thrives on building relationships, enjoys the challenge of winning new business and takes pride in creating opportunities where others see obstacles.

This is a role for someone who is genuinely self-motivated. You'll generate your own opportunities, develop your own pipeline and directly influence your own success and earnings.

In return, you'll be helping ambitious recruitment entrepreneurs launch, grow and scale their businesses whilst playing a key role in the continued growth of QUBA.

If you're competitive, commercially minded and motivated by building something meaningful for both yourself and your clients, you'll fit right in.

£35,000 - £45,000 basic salary + uncapped commission (OTE £70,000+)

Our commission structure pays on deals for two years rather than the typical 6-12 months, meaning the rewards for building quality client relationships can be significant.

What Success Looks Like:

This isn't a role for someone waiting for opportunities to appear. It's for someone who enjoys the challenge of creating them.

You'll be:

  • Doesn't wait for opportunities to come to them, they go out and create them
  • Enjoys opening doors, building relationships and winning new business
  • Takes pride in delivering a great experience from first conversation to signed client
  • Understands that the best sales results come from consistency, resilience and hard work
  • Is motivated by growth, both personally and professionally
  • Wants to play a part in helping recruitment entrepreneurs build successful businesses
  • Enjoys being part of a collaborative team that celebrates success together
  • Is excited by the opportunity to contribute to the next stage of QUBA's growth journey

This role isn't for everyone. It requires drive, resilience and a willingness to put yourself out there. But for the right person, the earning potential, career opportunities and opportunity to make a genuine impact are exceptional.

The Team & Culture

Whilst we're ambitious and focused on growth, we're equally proud of the culture we've built.

Our sales team is collaborative, supportive and always willing to share ideas, knowledge and successes. We celebrate wins together, learn from setbacks together and genuinely enjoy being part of each other's journey.

We're competitive when it matters, but never at the expense of doing the right thing for our clients or each other.

You'll have direct access to senior leadership, the opportunity to make a real impact on the business and the chance to help shape the next chapter of QUBA's growth.

Experience required:

You'll ideally have experience in one or more of the following sectors:

  • Recruitment
  • Recruitment technology or CRM solutions
  • Invoice finance
  • Umbrella payroll
  • Professional services sold into the recruitment sector

You'll also bring:

  • A proven track record of winning new business in a B2B environment

  • The ability to manage longer, consultative sales cycles
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • A proactive, resilient and positive approach
  • A genuine desire to contribute to a growing business
  • Full UK driving license

Package:

We’re offering a full-time salary from £35,000 - £45,000 per annum + Commission, with access to a fantastic range of employee benefits:

  • Commission structure that pays on deals for two years (rather than the industry standard of the first 6 – 12 months), so earning power is fantastic and incomparable
  • 22 days’ holiday per year (in addition to public/statutory bank holidays) – you will also accrue a further day’s holiday for each year of service, up to a maximum of 30 days
  • Enhanced family leave – including maternity, paternity, and adoption - and you’ll be eligible after just six months’ employment
  • Health & wellbeing support – access to a 24/7 employee assistance programme for you and your household via LifeWorks and access to a range of valuable medical and practical support, including mental health services via Help@hand
  • Employee perks – discounts off high street and online retailers and restaurants etc.
  • Cycle to work scheme – for those who want to cycle to work and reap the benefits
  • Career progression opportunities
