Panthera Grid Partners delivers reliable, utility-scale solar, wind and energy storage infrastructure to meet America's growing demand for domestic energy.

With a portfolio exceeding 10 gigawatts, Panthera Grid Partners operates in U.S. power markets where load growth, grid reliability and capital investment are most critical. Through responsible land stewardship and strong local partnerships, Panthera Grid Partners delivers energy projects with respect for land, agriculture, and local priorities, working with landowners and communities to support long-term land value and strengthen regional economies.

Job Summary The Business Development Manager will support investment decisions across the company's renewable energy portfolio. The role will develop and maintain valuation and pricing analyses for projects in the company's development pipeline and support the evaluation and execution of acquisitions, sell-downs, and divestments. Working closely with senior management and teams across Development, Commercial, Finance, Legal, and Construction, the Manager will build and review financial models, assess project economics, identify key risks and value drivers, and develop clear investment recommendations. • Review internal and external financial models, assess project economics, and identify key value drivers, risks, and sensitivities to inform pricing recommendations and strategic decisions
  • Oversee financial, commercial, technical, and legal due diligence activities, including coordinating internal teams and external advisors, managing data room materials, reviewing key information, and tracking open items
  • Partner with senior leadership and legal counsel in developing, reviewing, and negotiating transaction documents and commercial agreements
  • Prepare and present investment approval materials that clearly communicate valuation results, pricing recommendations, key risks, and strategic considerations to senior management
  • Coordinate with teams across Development, Commercial, Finance, Legal, and Construction, as well as investors, consultants, and other external stakeholders, to advance valuation and transaction workstreams
  • Manage internal systems and processes for tracking project valuations, business development opportunities, transaction milestones, and key deliverables, and identify opportunities to improve analytical and execution processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in renewable energy development, independent power production, project finance, investment banking, corporate development, or M&A
  • Demonstrated experience managing M&A transaction workstreams, financial due diligence, and investment evaluations, preferably within utility-scale solar, wind, or energy storage
  • Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy project economics, financing structures, and key commercial and regulatory considerations
  • Proven ability to independently manage complex projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and deliver results within established timelines
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to develop recommendations and present findings to senior leadership
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong business judgment and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Location: Hybrid in Houston, Texas (4 days in office, Fridays remote)
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10% for conferences, transaction-related activities, and investor meetings
