Business Development Manager

Responsibilities：

1. Category strategy & merchant recruitment: Develop the US smart wearables sourcing strategy and merchant acquisition plan; identify, recruit, and onboard overseas brands, authorized distributors, and high-potential merchants; own key business outcome metrics (category GMV, supply breadth, merchant count).
2. Brand ecosystem & network building: Develop deep understanding of the overseas smart wearables brand ecosystem (e.g., Oura, Fitbit, Whoop, Meta, etc.) and their authorized distribution channels; build a resource pool of key brands and merchants; independently manage client development, visits, and business negotiations.
3. Due diligence & onboarding: Conduct preliminary verification of merchant qualifications — brand authorization or traceable procurement documents, inventory, pricing, compliance certifications, and fulfillment capabilities; drive contract signing, account registration, product listing, and first-order conversion.
4. Supply expansion & assortment optimization: Deep-dive the smart wearables supply chain to identify upstream/downstream sourcing opportunities; proactively BD brands and merchants for categories with supply gaps; expand product width and inventory depth; improve the category's price competitiveness.
5. Merchant tiering & growth: Segment and manage existing merchants by scale and potential; conduct 1-on-1 deep dives with top merchants and design customized growth incentive plans to solve their operational pain points.
6. Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with operations, product, tech, logistics, and compliance teams to resolve merchant onboarding and transaction issues, and optimize the end-to-end merchant experience.
7. Pipeline management: Manage the sourcing/recruitment pipeline, continuously tracking merchant evaluation, contracting, go-live, supply performance, and sales results.

Requirements：

1. Experience: 5+ years in 3C/digital hardware/consumer electronics category sourcing or merchant operations; bachelor's degree or above; experience with major e-commerce platforms (Amazon, eBay, Newegg, etc.) or smart wearables brands/distributors is preferred.
2. Industry knowledge: Deep understanding of the US smart wearables market landscape, key brands, and authorized distribution channels; ability to analyze assortment gaps and identify sourcing opportunities; strong perspective on smart wearables product trends.
3. Independent BD capability: Proven ability to independently drive merchant development, negotiation, onboarding, and first-order conversion; existing relationships with overseas brands or channel partners is a strong plus.
4. Negotiation & cross-cultural communication: Strong business negotiation, resource integration, and cross-cultural communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with US-based and global brand partners.
5. Self-driven & results-oriented: Proactive and resilient, able to move business forward with minimal supervision; strong sense of ownership and accountability.
6. Language: Fluent English as a working language for seamless communication with overseas brand partners.
