Job Overview

As the Business Development Manager for Data Center Solutions in Malaysia, you will drive sales growth, funnel conversion, and market expansion across the data center sector. Partnering with customers, consultants, EPCs, hyperscalers, colocation operators and channel partners, you will develop opportunities, win projects, and strengthen Fluke's market leadership through solution-based selling.

Primary Responsibilities / Duties

Business Development & Market Growth

• Identify, qualify, and advance strategic opportunities across the data center ecosystem.
• Build strong relationships with key customers, consultants, EPCs, and industry stakeholders.
• Influence project specifications and solution adoption during project development stages.

Funnel Conversion & Sales Enablement

• Drive funnel conversion by advancing strategic opportunities through qualification, solution development, and closure.
• Partner with channel partners and sales teams to win new projects and grow existing accounts.
• Maintain clear visibility of opportunity progress and forecast accuracy.

Technical & Application Expertise

• Develop and maintain expertise across Fluke's solutions and their applications in data center environments.
• Advise customers on best-fit solutions, operational best practices, and industry standards.
• Support sales teams in driving opportunity conversion through technical consultation and solution positioning.

Channel Partner Development

• Build strong relationships with distributors, channel partners, and key customers.
• Drive partner capability through technical training, application workshops, and solution-selling support.
• Gather market intelligence and customer feedback to support business growth and competitive positioning.

Market Development & Customer Engagement

• Lead market development initiatives to expand Fluke's presence within the data center industry.
• Gather and relay market trends, competitive intelligence, and voice-of-customer feedback.
• Identify new growth opportunities and support strategic business expansion across Malaysia

Experience / Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, technical sales, or application engineering, preferably within data centers, critical infrastructure, power systems, or test & measurement industries.
• Proven ability to develop opportunities, drive funnel conversion, and achieve revenue targets in a solutions-selling environment.
• Strong commercial and technical acumen, with the ability to understand, demonstrate, and position complex solutions.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills in English. Self-motivated team player, able to operate effectively in a matrix environment.
• Willingness to travel across Malaysia to support strategic opportunities and customer engagements.
