Business Development Representative (Part-Time)

We are a school and sports photography studio in Bellaire, and we need one person to make phone calls for us in the mornings.

That is the job. You call schools, youth leagues, dance studios and preschools around the Ohio Valley, you get to the right person, and you set up a meeting. You do not close anything and you do not sell anything over the phone. The owner takes the meeting. You get them to the meeting.

What a morning looks like

You work from a list we give you. Every organization on it is a real school or league within about an hour of Bellaire, and you have the name of who to ask for. You call the office, you talk to the secretary, the director, the athletic director or the treasurer, you introduce us, and you find out two things. Who decides on picture day, and when they decide. If there is interest, you put a meeting on the calendar. Then you log the call and move to the next one.

Twenty to thirty calls a morning. Most are short. Some go nowhere. A few turn into a booked school, and that is the one you get paid extra for.

Comfortable on the phone with adults, and you do not take a no personally

Organized enough to log every call the same day

Available weekday mornings, which is when school offices actually pick up

You live around here and know the area

What we do not need

Sales experience. We will teach you what to say.

Nights or weekends

Who tends to be great at this: anyone who has worked in a school office, taught, coached, sat on a league board, worked a front desk, or done anything where you talked to people all day. Parents and semi-retired folks do well here because the hours fit.

Pay, in plain numbers

18 dollars an hour base

250 dollars when a school you set up signs with us, and another 750 dollars after their picture day is shot

75 dollars when a league, dance studio, preschool or daycare signs, and another 175 dollars after their picture day

No cap. Set up four schools in a year and that is an extra 4,000 dollars on top of your hourly.

We run 99 percent student ID accuracy and 98 percent on time delivery, and galleries go live within 48 hours of picture day.

We are a small local team and you would be working directly with the owner.
