Business Development Specialist

We are seeking a proactive Business Development Specialist to expand business partnerships with food manufacturing clients across the Visayas region. In this role, you will drive regional growth through technical sales support, product demonstrations, client account coordination, sales forecasting, and database documentation.

Serving as a vital operations pillar, you will blend routine account management with cross-departmental R&D and product tasks to achieve company growth goals.

Core Responsibilities

• Strategic Growth: Assist in identifying, researching, and monitoring new business opportunities and industry trends across Visayas markets (Cebu, Bohol, Iloilo, Bacolod, Ormoc).
• Technical Sales & R&D: Conduct ad-hoc business development meetings, organize product samples, catalogs, and marketing materials, and support product trials, demonstrations, or client events.
• Revenue Management: Provide operational support for sales forecasting, execute accurate order processing, and diligently monitor inventory availability.
• Relationship Building: Maintain efficient account servicing, coordinate client concerns, and ensure timely resolution of requirements to support long-term client partnerships.
• Market Positioning: Perform high-accuracy data entry, assist in report preparation, and conduct market research to analyze competitor standing.
• Deal Negotiation & Delivery: Handle routine administrative duties including order/proposal preparation and tracking delivery and return timelines to hit strict deadlines.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a central communication link between customers and internal teams (including R&D) to streamline operations and coordinate projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Nutrition & Dietetics, Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
• Licensed Food Technologist is a strong advantage.

Technical & Work Experience

• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in administrative support, sales support, customer service, or order processing (experience in food ingredients, food manufacturing, FMCG, or B2B sales is preferred). Fresh graduates with strong internship experience are welcome to apply.

• Technical Skills: Highly knowledgeable in advanced Excel functions, data analytics, and inventory management systems (ERP/CRM).

• Product Knowledge: Basic understanding of food ingredients, food processing, and product trials/customer validation.

Key Qualifications & Skills

• Languages: Fluent in English with strong, customer-oriented communication skills and has the ability to speak Bisaya or Ilonggo (Hiligaynon) .
• Location & Mobility: Must be residing in or willing to relocate to Cebu, with willingness to travel frequently across Visayas (Cebu, Bohol, Iloilo, Bacolod, Ormoc) for client visits and trade events.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in report drafting and documentation.
