Business Development Specialist

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly energetic and results-oriented Business Development Specialist to drive customer acquisition for CargoX's on-demand logistics services. The role is primarily field based and requires the candidate to identify prospects, meet businesses, understand their logistics requirements, present the service, onboard customers and continuously provide market feedback.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct 20–25+ meaningful customer visits/meetings per day across the assigned territory.
• Identify and prospect potential business customers through field visits, market research, referrals, digital research and local business mapping.
• Introduce and demonstrate CargoX's logistics/on-demand delivery services and mobile application.
• Understand customer requirements, delivery volumes, pain points and current logistics providers.
• Acquire new customers, drive app downloads/registrations and convert qualified prospects into active customers.
• Follow up consistently with prospects and move opportunities toward onboarding and first transactions.
• Handle customer objections and clearly communicate the value proposition.
• Conduct market surveys to understand customer needs, pricing, competitor activity and market opportunities.
• Provide structured daily feedback on customer objections, market trends, competitor activity and potential opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of meetings, leads, follow-ups, registrations and conversions using the required reporting/CRM tools.
• Use AI tools responsibly for prospect research, market research, productivity, customer analysis, reporting and preparation of sales/field materials.
• Achieve assigned daily, weekly and monthly acquisition and conversion targets.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous field sales, business development, merchant acquisition or customer acquisition experience.
• Experience with on-demand logistics/delivery platforms such as Porter, Lala move or similar is strongly preferred.
• Strong spoken English and Hindi; Arabic is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Comfortable working 100% in the field and meeting a high number of customers every day.
• Own reliable transportation and a valid UAE driving license are mandatory.
• Strong prospecting, communication, negotiation and objection-handling skills.
• Ability to understand customer requirements and convert conversations into actionable opportunities.
• Good understanding of mobile applications and ability to demonstrate an app to customers.
• Ability to conduct market surveys and provide clear, useful and actionable feedback.
• Good reporting discipline and basic ability to use CRM, Google Sheets or similar tools.
• Practical knowledge of AI tools is mandatory, including the ability to use AI for research, productivity, market understanding, reporting and day-to-day work.
• Self-motivated, resilient and comfortable with rejection and high field activity.

Performance Expectations

• 20–25+ field meetings/visits per day.
• 10+ app downloads/registrations per day, subject to territory and lead quality.
• Target conversion of approximately 10%+.
• 100% completion of daily reporting and follow-ups.
• Consistent generation of new active customers.
• Regular, structured and actionable market feedback.
