Business Development Technical Specialist

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Business Development Technical Specialist to provide technical support throughout the sales and product commercialization process. The role will evaluate client formulations, assess manufacturing feasibility, coordinate product trials, and support the successful scale-up of ice cream and frozen dessert products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate client formulations, recipes, ingredients, and product requirements for manufacturing feasibility.
• Provide technical support during client meetings, site visits, and sales discussions.
• Coordinate product trials, samples, pilot runs, and commercial production.
• Troubleshoot formulation and processing issues during product development and trials.
• Prepare technical specifications, QA requirements, and other project documentation.
• Collaborate with Sales, R&D, QA, Production, and Operations to ensure successful commercialization.
• Support cost, yield, and production feasibility assessments.
• Stay updated on new food processing technologies, ingredients, and industry trends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in food manufacturing, R&D, commercialization, or technical sales.
• Experience in ice cream, dairy, frozen foods, or related industries is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of ice cream formulation and processing, including overrun, freezing point, and fat agglomeration.
• Familiarity with continuous freezers and other food processing equipment is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
