What they need

About Us:

EA Networks is a cooperative network company based in Mid Canterbury. It owns and operates the region’s electricity distribution network, as well as an advanced fibre optic communications network. Being locally owned and operated means EA Networks and its 130 staff have strong ties with the community that they work and live in. The core focus for EA Networks is maintaining a resilient electricity and fibre network while supporting the local economy and community.  For more information about the company visit www.eanetworks.co.nz

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Business Improvement Analyst to join our EA Networks team. This role has a strong focus on using data, insights and performance measures to help the business understand what is working, where effort should be prioritised, and how success can be measured. As part of our business transformation team, you will contribute across business improvement, performance insights, benefits realisation, stakeholder engagement and change, supporting practical improvements in an operational electricity distribution and fibre network environment. Working across the organisation, you will partner with leaders and teams to analyse operational, financial and performance information to help shape clear recommendations and support initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys making sense of complex information, constructively challenging assumptions, and turning business insight into action that uplifts organisational capability, enhances employee experience, and delivers improved customer outcomes.

Got what it takes?

  • 5+ years’ experience in continuous improvement, business analysis, organisational change or a related field
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Management, Commerce or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Business Analysis, Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement or Change Management certification would be advantageous
  • Experience analysing operational, financial or performance data and translating insights into practical recommendations
  • Strong facilitation, stakeholder engagement and workshop leadership skills
  • Ability to develop business cases, options analysis, requirements, process flows and clear supporting documentation
  • Confidence to respectfully challenge assumptions and support leaders and teams through change
  • Experience working within operational, infrastructure-based or electricity distribution environments would be advantageous
  • Full New Zealand Class 1 Drivers Licence

On Offer:

We prioritise providing our people with the best possible experience. In addition to a great workplace, we operate a strong reliable network and have modern, well-maintained vehicles and gear. Our new employee benefits scheme offers rewards and benefits to help cover life’s costs and support personal wellbeing. We also offer competitive remuneration plus enhanced annual leave benefits, and a paid day off during the month of your birthday. We have an active Social Club with activities throughout the year, discounted gym/fitness centre memberships, an expansive break room and on-site parking. As part of our hybrid working approach, and after a qualifying period, employees can apply to enjoy a Nine-Day Fortnight or access to newly established satellite office in Islington, Christchurch. You’ll get to work with like-minded people who are passionate about keeping the lights and internet on throughout the Ashburton District.

Being a part of the Ashburton District means you’re a part of a strong supportive community with a great semi-rural lifestyle. With a variety of local dining and services, and excellent skiing, hunting, tramping and fishing spots nearby, you’ll be spoiled for choice. As it’s only a 60-minute drive from Christchurch Airport, it doesn’t take long to experience city life, while our newly established satellite office in Islington, Christchurch provides another connection point under. A Mid-Canterbury relocation package will be considered for the right applicant.

Join Us:

To apply, please submit your CV and Cover Letter. Applicants must be residing in and have the right to work in New Zealand.
