Business Intelligence Analyst

About the Job

We are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join Forman Technology Group and help transform business data into meaningful insights that support informed decision-making. This role focuses on analyzing data, developing reports and dashboards, and helping teams understand business performance through clear and accurate reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a foundation in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and technical team members to understand reporting requirements, track key performance indicators (KPIs), validate data, and present useful insights.

This remote opportunity offers hands-on experience with business intelligence tools, reporting processes, and data analysis while providing opportunities to learn new technologies and contribute to ongoing projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Use SQL to retrieve, organize, and analyze data from databases and other sources.
• Work with team members to understand business requirements and prepare reports that address their needs.
• Collect, clean, and validate data to maintain accuracy and consistency across reports.
• Analyze business metrics to identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies.
• Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and data quality checks.
• Assist with improving recurring reports and automating manual reporting tasks.
• Test dashboards and report outputs to ensure information is accurate and reliable.
• Document reporting processes, data sources, and KPI definitions.
• Communicate findings clearly and collaborate with technical and non-technical team members.
• Support ongoing reporting improvements and learn new tools and techniques as business needs evolve.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, or a related area.
• Basic to working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or another data visualization or reporting tool.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to organize data, identify inconsistencies, and communicate findings clearly.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Willingness to learn new tools, accept feedback, and adapt to changing project requirements.

Pay: $89,600.00 - $108,000.00 per year
