Business Intelligence Analyst – Power BI / Data Analytics (Ref: 5880)

Location: Rancho Cordova, CA

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – Alternating 3 days onsite one week and 2 days onsite the following week

Duration: 24 months, with possible 12-month extension

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to develop and maintain enterprise dashboards, performance metrics, and analytical reports. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Power BI, Excel Power Pivot, data integration, reporting automation, and enterprise performance measurement.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Collect, validate, consolidate, and analyze data from multiple enterprise systems.
• Develop executive and operational dashboards, charts, and performance metrics.
• Create and maintain analytical data models, reporting logic, and data dictionaries.
• Support Agile sprint, Program Increment (PI), and portfolio-level reporting.
• Integrate reporting data from tools such as Rally, ServiceNow, and other enterprise platforms.
• Perform statistical analysis, variance analysis, and data quality validation.
• Document reporting processes and develop sustainable, low-maintenance BI solutions.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define reporting requirements.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis or related analytical or engineering disciplines, such as BI Analyst, Data Engineer, or Researcher.
• At least 6 months of experience developing business intelligence reports.
• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Engineering field. Additional qualifying experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Desired Qualifications

• 5 years of experience performing data integration and analytics, including data validation, consolidation, statistical analysis, variance analysis, and analytical data modeling.
• 3 years developing and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Excel Power Pivot.
• 3 years developing enterprise performance metrics, reporting standards, validation routines, and Agile sprint, PI, and portfolio-level reporting using Rally, ServiceNow, or similar tools.
• 3 years maintaining reporting logic, data dictionaries, and process documentation.
