We’re looking for a Business Intelligence & Data Analyst to join our team and help us make better use of data across the organisation.

This is a hands-on, varied role for someone who enjoys going beyond dashboards and asking: How can we make this faster, smarter and more reliable?

You’ll work across data analysis, Business Intelligence, automation and development, partnering with Technology, Finance, AML/Compliance, Operations and Management. You’ll help turn complex data into useful insights, automate manual processes and build reporting solutions that support both everyday business decisions and regulatory requirements.

And because we believe AI is changing the way data and technology teams work, you’ll also have the opportunity to use AI-assisted tools to accelerate development, analysis and automation.

🧩 What you’ll do

• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports and data models used across the business
• Extract, transform and analyse data from multiple sources using MS SQL
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, views, stored procedures and datasets for reporting and analytics
• Support and automate regulatory, financial, operational and management reporting
• Work directly with business teams to understand their needs and turn them into reliable data solutions
• Build automation using Power Automate, Python and Microsoft technologies
• Use AI-assisted development tools to speed up development, automate repetitive work and support analysis
• Develop and improve ETL processes and data transformations
• Create automated controls and data-quality checks to make reporting more accurate and reliable
• Design KPIs and management information that help leaders make informed decisions
• Analyse operational, financial, risk and AML data to identify trends, issues and opportunities
• Support ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests from Management and business teams
• Work with Technology and external providers to improve data integrations and reporting capabilities
• Document reports, data models, automated processes and solutions you build
• Look continuously for opportunities to replace manual reporting and data-processing work with smarter, automated solutions

🔍 What we’re looking for

You don’t need to know everything from day one, but you should be comfortable working hands-on with data and technology.

You’ll bring:

• 2+ years of practical experience in SQL databases, Business Intelligence, data analytics or reporting
• Strong knowledge of MS SQL, including joins, aggregations, data manipulation, views and query optimisation
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, including dashboards, data models and visualisation
• Experience with Power Automate or similar workflow/process automation tools
• Experience using Python for data analysis, processing or automation
• Good understanding of data structures, ETL and data-quality principles
• Strong analytical thinking and confidence working with large or complex datasets
• The ability to understand business needs and translate them into practical technical solutions
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical colleagues
• Good written and spoken English

Nice to have

• Experience in banking, fintech, payments, EMI or another regulated financial-services environment
• Experience with regulatory or financial reporting, AML or risk-related data
• Experience integrating data through APIs and different business systems
• Knowledge of the wider Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft 365, Azure or Power Platform
• Experience using AI tools for coding, data analysis, automation or solution development
• Experience taking reporting or automation solutions from an idea through to production
