Business Intelligence Developer

About the Role Reporting to the Manager of Information Systems, you will oversee the creation and management of BI and analytics solutions. You will play a critical role in transforming complex data into valuable insights, contributing to the development of their data warehouse, and supporting strategic business decision-making. This role requires flexibility to meet the dynamic needs of the organisation and the communities they serve.

Key Responsibilities

• Elicit and translate business needs from internal and external stakeholders into robust technical specifications.
• Design, develop, automate, and maintain dashboards, reports, and BI tools in line with business requirements.
• Maintain and support data analytics platforms while ensuring strict compliance with data security, privacy, and report access permissions.
• Build and manage a comprehensive register of reporting requirements to ensure the timely delivery of data to external regulatory parties.
• Champion data quality, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
• Protect sensitive data with the utmost integrity and confidentiality.

About You

• A tertiary degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Commerce, or a related discipline, and/or comparable industry certifications.
• Demonstrated expertise in BI report development, data analysis, and data engineering, preferably within a healthcare or not-for-profit context.
• Strong technical proficiency in Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server, and data analysis languages such as DAX, Python, or R.
• Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts, architecture, and automation.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively across all levels of the business.
• High level of autonomy, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Employment is subject to a satisfactory National Police Check.
• Must hold a current driver's licence and have evidence of access to a comprehensively insured motor vehicle.
• Some out-of-hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required on occasion.
