Business Intelligence Developer

Role purpose: The Power BI Developer will support DET reporting and analytics needs by building reliable dashboards, datasets, data models, and data pipelines across Dynamics 365, Dataverse, SQL Server, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI Service.

Work location/model: Offshore, aligned to UAE working hours. Initial required capacity: 1 resource.

Main responsibilities

• Design and develop Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, and semantic models for business users.
• Build data models using Power BI, DAX, and Power Query.
• Create and optimize data visualizations that are clear, usable, and aligned with business reporting needs.
• Connect Power BI to multiple data sources including SQL Server, Dataverse, Excel, APIs, and cloud data sources.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes using SSIS and Azure Data Factory.
• Work with Microsoft Dataverse data models, tables, relationships, and security configurations.
• Prepare, clean, transform, and validate data for reporting and analytics.
• Optimize report performance, dataset refresh, query performance, and model design.
• Implement row-level security, workspace permissions, and data access controls.
• Support data migration, data validation, reconciliation, and data quality activities.
• Collaborate with business users and CRM teams to understand reporting needs and translate them into dashboards and data models.
• Support integration between Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power BI, SQL Server, SSIS, and Azure Data Factory.
• Publish, manage, monitor, and maintain reports and datasets in Power BI Service.
• Troubleshoot reporting issues, refresh failures, data discrepancies, and performance bottlenecks.

Required skills and experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI report development, dashboard design, DAX, Power Query, and data modelling.
• Strong experience with SQL Server, Dataverse, Dynamics 365 data structures, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, and API-based data integration.
• Good understanding of reporting security, row-level security, data refresh, gateway concepts, and Power BI Service administration.
• Ability to work closely with business stakeholders to translate reporting needs into clear, reliable, and maintainable analytics solutions.
