Business Operations & Analytics Manager

Business Operations & Analytics Manager Location: Hybrid, Boston, MA | Contract-to-hire | Hourly Pay Range $30-$38 This Business Operations & Analytics Manager contract-to-hire role supports leadership within Sterile Processing and Clinical Support Services by blending day-to-day workforce operations with business analytics and reporting. You’ll own core workforce administration processes while building dashboards, reports, and executive-ready insights that improve operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary resource for payroll coordination, time and attendance, scheduling support, vacation tracking, and workforce administration.
• Develop and maintain workforce reports and dashboards covering attendance, productivity, overtime, vacancies, and staffing trends.
• Partner with departmental leaders to support workforce planning, operational decision-making, and performance monitoring.
• Ensure workforce and operational data is accurate, consistent, and reliable for reporting and analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve workforce processes and administrative efficiency.
• Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, scorecards, and data visualizations for leadership consumption.
• Analyze operational and workforce data to identify trends, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare executive summaries, PowerPoint presentations, and leadership reports that clearly communicate insights.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations that support strategic and operational decisions.
• Apply advanced Excel techniques, including pivot table analysis, to organize and interpret data.
• Leverage technology and AI-enabled tools to improve reporting efficiency and decision support.
• Collaborate with Human Resources, Finance, Information Systems, and operational leaders to support departmental goals.
• Provide analytical support and recommendations to improve productivity, staffing, and operational effectiveness.
• Balance day-to-day workforce administration with ongoing reporting, analytics, and performance improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Analytics, Human Resources, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience supporting workforce operations, payroll, scheduling, time and attendance, analytics, reporting, or business operations.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and pivot table reporting.
• Experience developing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to translate data into clear, meaningful information for leadership.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare experience, particularly in healthcare operations, workforce management, or departmental performance improvement.
• Experience with Power BI; Tableau or similar reporting and visualization tools also valuable.
• Background in HR analytics, business analytics, workforce management, or operational performance improvement.
• Experience reporting on staffing levels, productivity, overtime, attendance, vacancies, and workforce trends.
• Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools to streamline reporting and improve business decision-making.
