Business Operations Director

GENERAL JOB DEFINITION: BUSINESS OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

The Business Operations Director is responsible for ensuring that the company’s operational engine — including Sales Operations, Logistics, Warehouse, and related support functions — runs efficiently and effectively to maximize sales output while minimizing operational costs.

The role focuses on building reliable and repeatable operational processes that support the Store Branches, Retail Sales and Services (RSS), Institutional Sales Services (ISS) and Warehouse and Logistics (WAL) departments, improve fulfillment efficiency, protect company assets, and increase overall net profit.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Operational Management

• Oversee and optimize logistics, warehousing, and sales operations.
• Ensure operational processes are efficient, scalable, and repeatable.
• Monitor and reduce operational expenses while maintaining service quality.
• Improve coordination between warehouse, purchasing, retail, and institutional sales teams.
• Support sales departments by ensuring timely product availability and fulfillment.

Cost Efficiency & Process Improvement

• Manage operational costs including overtime, fuel, utilities, and warehouse expenses.
• Develop systems and controls that improve operational productivity.
• Implement efficiency initiatives that positively impact company profitability.

Customer Fulfillment & Service

• Ensure high fulfillment performance through On-Time, In-Full (OTIF) delivery standards.
• Coordinate with Logistics, Warehouse, Retail, and ISS teams to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Prevent delays that may negatively impact customer relationships or sales performance.

Inventory & Asset Protection

• Maintain accurate inventory records and minimize shrinkage or inventory loss.
• Ensure alignment between physical inventory and system records.
• Improve inventory visibility and stock allocation across locations.

Product Receiving & Deployment

• Ensure timely receiving and accounting of incoming goods.
• Coordinate product deployment to retail stores and B2B sales teams.
• Ensure product training and merchandising are completed promptly after receipt of goods.

Strategic & Operational Projects

• Improve warehouse transfer systems and stock movement efficiency.
• Explore operational improvements such as dispatching hubs and delivery optimization initiatives.
• Evaluate operational projects that can reduce costs and improve delivery speed.
