About Tomorrow Financial Solutions
Tomorrow Financial Solutions is an Australian financial services business providing mortgage broking, residential and commercial lending, refinancing and other tailored finance solutions.
Operating across Australia and Sri Lanka, TFS works with clients, lenders and industry partners to deliver financial solutions. Our Australian operations are supported by a team in Colombo, which plays an important role in loan processing, client support and other operational functions. TFS also maintains a strategic partnership with LOLC Holdings, an international financial services group.
As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Business Process Analyst to review and improve our operational processes, systems and procedures across our Australian and Sri Lankan operations.
About the role
Reporting to the executive team, the Business Process Analyst will be responsible for examining TFS's existing business processes, identifying operational inefficiencies and recommending improvements to organisational systems, procedures and workflows.
The role will focus on improving the efficiency, consistency and effectiveness of our mortgage broking and financial services operations, including the coordination of work between our Australian and Sri Lankan teams.
This is an analytical and process improvement position requiring regular consultation with management, mortgage brokers, loan processing staff and other operational personnel across both locations. The successful applicant will also assist with implementing approved changes and monitoring their effectiveness.
Key responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- analysing and evaluating existing business processes, operational systems and procedures across TFS's Australian and Sri Lankan operations;
- reviewing workflows relating to client onboarding, mortgage applications, document verification, loan processing, lender communications, settlements and post-settlement services;
- consulting with management and employees across both offices to understand current operating practices, responsibilities and areas requiring improvement;
- examining organisational workflows, reporting arrangements and the allocation of responsibilities between teams to identify inefficiencies, duplication and processing delays;
- preparing workflow charts, process maps and operational reports to document existing procedures and identify opportunities for improvement;
- analysing operational performance data, including application processing times, workflow delays, documentation errors and service delivery outcomes;
- developing and recommending improvements to business procedures, internal controls, workflows and the allocation of operational responsibilities;
- reviewing the use of customer management, loan processing and reporting systems to identify opportunities for more efficient and consistent operational practices;
- developing and updating standard operating procedures, process documentation, workflow instructions and other operational manuals;
- recommending improvements to coordination, communication and information-sharing processes between the Australian and Sri Lankan teams;
- assisting management with implementing approved process improvements, including communicating revised procedures and supporting staff during operational changes;
- reviewing operational procedures and quality control measures to support compliance with applicable Australian regulatory requirements, lender standards and internal policies;
- monitoring the effectiveness of implemented changes and identifying further opportunities for continuous improvement; and
- preparing reports and recommendations for management regarding operational efficiency, process improvements and organisational performance.
Required qualifications, experience and skills
To be considered for this position, applicants should have:
- A bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Business Management, Commerce, Finance, Operations Management or a related discipline;
- At least one (1) years of relevant professional experience in business process analysis, operational improvement, procedures analysis or a comparable analytical role;
- Demonstrated experience reviewing organisational processes, identifying operational inefficiencies and developing practical improvement recommendations;
- Experience preparing process maps, workflow documentation, operational reports and standard operating procedures;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to evaluate operational data and identify opportunities for improvement;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with business management, workflow or customer relationship management systems;
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to coordinate with stakeholders across different teams and locations;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain operational findings and recommendations clearly;
- The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives; and
- A professional approach to handling confidential business and client information.
- Experience within mortgage broking, banking, lending or financial services operations will be highly regarded. Experience working with international or geographically distributed teams will also be advantageous.
