Business Process Improvement Manager

About Us
The Whole One Yard Inc. runs Yardstick Coffee (retail cafes, wholesale, and online), and Standard Supply Studios (distributor of La Marzocco, Rocket Espresso, Mazzer, and other specialty coffee equipment brands).

The Role
You'll learn how our departments work with each other, document how work actually flows, find where it gets stuck, and lead improvements that make the company run simpler and faster. You report directly to the President and work across all divisions.

This is an individual contributor role. You'll drive change through department heads and the people who do the work, and not by building a team of your own.

What You'll Do

• Learn how each department operates and how work, information, and decisions move between them
• Document current workflows clearly, including the informal ones that live in people's heads
• Find bottlenecks, duplicate work, unclear handoffs, unnecessary approvals, and manual steps the system could handle
• Recommend improvements, prioritize them by impact, and get buy-in from the department heads involved
• Help put the changes in place and follow through until they stick
• Work with our ERP (Odoo) consultant to automate workflows where it makes sense
• Write short, clear SOPs for improved processes, and retire the outdated ones
• Track results and report progress every quarter (cycle times, steps removed, turnaround, errors reduced)
• Act as the check on new processes, so we stop adding complexity faster than we remove it
• Use AI tools to speed up the work itself: mapping workflows, analyzing process data, drafting SOPs, and building automations
• Find where AI can replace manual steps across departments (data entry, report consolidation, request routing, document review), then build or set up those solutions

Qualifications

• 4+ years in business process improvement, operational excellence, management consulting, or a similar role
• Track record of improving real workflows (be ready to share specific before-and-after examples)
• Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methods (Green Belt or higher is a plus)
• Experience with ERP systems (Odoo strongly preferred; SAP, NetSuite, or similar is fine)
• Able to drive change without formal authority, working well with people from frontline staff to senior leaders
• Strong process mapping skills (Lucidchart, Miro, Visio, or similar)
• Clear, simple writing, with documentation people will actually use
• Hands-on, practical use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar) to build things. Examples: automating workflows, analyzing data, creating templates or internal tools, or connecting systems

Nice to Have

• Background in F&B, retail, distribution, or multi-branch operations
• Experience with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System)

Pay: Php40,000.00 - Php80,000.00 per month
