Job Opportunity - Business Reporting Associate Analyst!

A chemical manufacturing company in Kuala Lumpur is currently expanding their finance operations team, hiring a Business Reporting Associate Analyst for a 6-month contract (maternity cover).

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver accurate and timely business reporting, month-end and year-end closing activities in accordance with company policies and reporting standards.
• Perform analysis on inventory valuation, material ledger, cost center accounting, fixed assets, project accounting, transfer pricing and manufacturing costs.
• Review financial performance, identify variances, and provide business insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Partner closely with regional finance teams, controllers, plant personnel and business stakeholders to resolve reporting issues and support decision-making.
• Support finance transformation, process improvement, migration/transition projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, financial reporting standards, and local statutory regulations.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, process documentation, training, and mentorship within the Business Reporting team.

Requirements:

• Open to fresh grads from Accounting and Finance backgrounds OR
• Min 1 year experience in the relevant scope of Business Reporting
• Good communication in English
