Business Systems Analyst – NetSuite

General Scope & Summary

Alvaria is seeking aBusiness Systems Analyst to support, optimize, and enhance NetSuite and its integrations other enterprise applications.

This role serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT, translating business needs into effective, scalable system solutions. The analyst will combine strong business process knowledge with hands-on NetSuite configuration, production support, requirements analysis, and integration troubleshooting.

Working closely with Finance, Sales Operations, and other functional teams, this individual will identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen data quality and internal controls, and maximize the value of our business applications. The role will support initiatives from requirements gathering and solution design through testing, deployment, and ongoing operational support.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities

NetSuite Application Support & Configuration

Provide day-to-day NetSuite production support, working with business users, developers, and external partners to investigate and resolve application issues.

Configure and maintain NetSuite workflows, custom fields, custom records, forms, saved searches, reports, dashboards, roles, and permissions.

Support business processes within assigned functional areas, including financial management, order management, purchasing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

Analyze recurring issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions that improve application reliability and user experience.

Assess NetSuite releases and enhancements, coordinate impact analysis and regression testing, and support deployment readiness.

Business Analysis & Process Improvement

Partner with business functional leads to understand business drivers, gather requirements, and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.

Translate business needs into documented functional specifications, system requirements, process flows, and acceptance criteria.

Evaluate solution options and recommend cost-effective approaches that leverage standard NetSuite functionality where practical.

Configure and prototype solutions in sandbox environments to validate requirements and demonstrate proposed designs.

Support data cleanup, validation, conversion, and migration activities associated with approved projects.

CRM & Enterprise Application Integrations

Support and troubleshoot integrations between NetSuite and CRM platforms, such as Salesforce,

Understand end-to-end processes and data flows across CRM and ERP systems, particularly customer records, products, orders, invoices, and related transactions.

Collaborate with integration developers and business stakeholders to define data mappings, transformation rules, validation requirements, and exception-handling procedures.

Investigate synchronization failures and data discrepancies, coordinating corrective actions and reconciliation across systems.

Testing, Controls & Communication

Develop test plans and scenarios; perform configuration testing and coordinate unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing with business and technical teams.

Maintain application documentation, support procedures, and user training materials.

Ensure solutions incorporate appropriate access controls, segregation of duties, auditability, and data integrity.

Follow established change management practices for configuration changes, customizations, and production deployments.

Communicate requirements, priorities, risks, and issue status clearly to business users, IT colleagues, and leadership.

Required Qualifications & Skills

2-3+ years of experience supporting enterprise business applications in a business-facing IT, business systems analysis, or related role.

Demonstrated hands-on experience supporting and configuring NetSuite , including production support and enhancement delivery.

Strong understanding of ERP business processes, particularly order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and record-to-report .

Experience gathering requirements, documenting functional designs, improving business processes, and coordinating testing.

Working knowledge of CRM applications and their integration with ERP systems.

Familiarity with NetSuite SuiteFlow, SuiteAnalytics, saved searches, and reporting .

Understanding of SuiteScript and NetSuite integration capabilities , with the ability to investigate technical issues and collaborate effectively with developers.

Working knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, data structures, field mapping, and integration troubleshooting.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex issues and recommend practical solutions.

Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver support activities and project assignments with minimal supervision.

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with NetSuite OneWorld , multi-entity operations, and multi-currency environments.

Experience with Salesforce integrations (preferred)

Hands-on SuiteScript development experience and familiarity with JavaScript or SuiteQL.

Experience supporting revenue recognition, subscription billing, or project accounting.
