Business Systems Analyst- JDE(Boundary Systems)

Job Title- Business Systems Analyst- JDE(Boundary Systems) Location- Irvine, CA(Hybrid) Engagement Type: Contract Roles And Responsibilities- Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Operations Boundary Systems Lead to support a large-scale Oracle Fusion Transformation Program . This role will partner closely with the Operations Boundary Systems Lead to drive current-state system discovery, impact assessments, technical documentation, remediation planning, and application modernization activities across legacy operational platforms.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in JD Edwards (JDE) environments, strong knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain operations, and experience leading ERP transformation initiatives. This role may evolve into broader ownership of the Operations Boundary Systems domain depending on business and program needs.

Key Responsibilities Current-State Assessment & Discovery

• Lead assessment and documentation of existing operational systems, including JD Edwards (JDE), QAD, AS400/iSeries-based applications, and related boundary systems.
• Analyze application landscapes, business processes, integrations, data flows, and system dependencies.
• Develop comprehensive inventories of applications, interfaces, workflows, and supporting technologies.

Impact Analysis & Transformation Planning

• Assess the impact of Oracle Fusion design decisions on existing operational systems and processes.
• Identify business, technical, data, process, and integration impacts resulting from future-state architecture changes.
• Evaluate risks, dependencies, and remediation requirements for impacted applications.

Documentation & Technical Specifications

• Develop and maintain application profiles, business process maps, entity relationship models, and integration documentation.
• Create detailed technical specifications and solution requirements for remediation and modernization initiatives.
• Ensure documentation aligns with enterprise architecture and governance standards.

Stakeholder Management & Workshop Facilitation

• Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders, Business Relationship Managers (BRMs), Business Systems Analysts (BSAs), application owners, and technical SMEs.
• Gather requirements, validate current-state processes, and identify system impacts.
• Drive consensus and alignment across business and technical teams.

Execution Readiness & Governance

• Support the creation of execution roadmaps, remediation plans, and resource models.
• Establish governance mechanisms and reporting structures for operational system transformation activities.
• Develop retirement and decommissioning strategies for legacy applications impacted by Oracle Fusion implementation.

Qualifications & Required Skills-

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience leading ERP, manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, distribution, or operations transformation initiatives.
• Proven experience supporting ERP replacement, consolidation, migration, or modernization programs.
• Strong experience documenting and analyzing complex application ecosystems and business processes.
• Experience working with enterprise stakeholders, business teams, and technical leadership.
• Demonstrated expertise in technical documentation, requirements gathering, and impact analysis.
