BUSINESS SYSTEMS DEVELOPER

CRD MFG, Inc. is a precision tube fabrication and CNC manufacturer serving the aerospace, defense, motorsports, and industrial sectors by operating laser tube cutting systems, CNC tube benders up to 6" capacity, CNC mills and lathes, and OTC robotic welders. We have been building precision tube fabrications and assemblies in Southern California for over 15 years. We developed based on deep technical skill and distinctive knowledge, and we are now moving deliberately to a systems-driven operating model that scales without depending on any one person. Function Summary

The Business Systems Developer fuction shall design and carry out that transition. Reporting directly to the President, this role will learn how work currently flows, design effective and robust processes and systems to govern the work flow, and lead the team through to adoption of the newly designed processes and systems. This is a hands-on position accountable for outcomes, not an advisory position. You are measured by systems running in the business with verified results, not by recommendations or documentation alone.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and govern CRD MFG, Inc.’s controlled-document system: one revision-controlled SOP library, with standards for writing, approval, and review that keep us AS9100 audit-ready.
• Document and standardize production and warehouse operations, turning what experienced people know into clear SOPs and workflow maps that operators use on the floor.
• Build the hiring and training systems for production and warehouse personnel: a hands-on skills assessment, a skills matrix that defines each level, and standard onboarding with sign-offs.
• Map and re-engineer core workflows (Sales → Estimating → Engineering → Purchasing → Production → Quality → Shipping → Accounting), removing redundant handoffs, duplicate data entry, and unclear ownership.
• Build the management tools leadership relies on: CRM pipeline visibility, a cost-burden model for each work center, and an EOS-aligned sales Scorecard.
• Get more out of our ERP (ECI M1) and find where automation and AI produce measurable gains in quoting, reporting, and administrative work.
• Run every initiative on a defined outcome, owner, measurable, and due date, from design through implementation, training, and verification. Own your quarterly Rocks and Scorecard measurables.
• Growth:You’ll build the operating system CRD MFG, INC. scales on beyond $10M. Scope, authority, and pay grow with what you deliver.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent proven experience.
• A professional record of designing and implementing systems in a manufacturing or operations environment, including systems you personally built that are still in daily use. Recent relevant professional references will be required; references will confirm your direct contribution.
• Execution discipline: you plan the rollout and carry it through to adoption.
• Systems judgment: you can tell a process problem from a technology gap.
• Advanced skill in process mapping, writing SOPs and work instructions, ERP optimization, and data analysis, with Lean or Six Sigma methods applied in a real operation.
• Executive presence and floor credibility: you lead change at every level.
• Preferred Experience: Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt; ECI M1 or similar ERP; Spiro or another CRM; Power BI, SQL, Power Automate; AI tools; AS9100 / ISO 9001.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
