The Opportunity

Our client is a growing, multi-location organization seeking an experienced, hands-on IT Systems Manager to take ownership of its business systems environment and help build the technology foundation for its next stage of growth.

This is not a traditional IT infrastructure or help-desk leadership position. It is a software-centric, hands-on role for someone who enjoys personally solving problems, improving systems, building integrations, managing implementations, and working directly with business leaders.

The IT Systems Manager will own the strategy, administration, optimization, integration, security, and lifecycle management of the company's core business applications. This individual will also play a major role in building the company's data warehouse and business intelligence/reporting capabilities .

The position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will partner closely with executive leadership and leaders across Finance, Operations, Sales, Marketing, HR, and Customer Service.

What You'll Own

• Develop and drive the company's business systems and technology roadmap.
• Own and optimize the organization's ERP, CRM, e-commerce, AP automation, fleet/operations, and other SaaS platforms.
• Current environment includes Sage 100, Shopify, Stampli, HubSpot, Samsara , and other business applications.
• Design and improve integrations between systems using APIs, middleware, automation tools, and other technologies .
• Lead the development of the company's data warehouse, reporting, and business intelligence infrastructure .
• Identify opportunities to automate processes, eliminate manual work, improve data integrity, strengthen controls, and reduce technology costs.
• Lead software evaluations, selections, implementations, migrations, upgrades, and major system enhancements.
• Establish appropriate governance around permissions, user access, MFA, data protection, change management, and system ownership.
• Manage technology vendors, consultants, contracts, licensing, subscriptions, renewals, and service providers.
• Translate business needs into practical technology solutions, workflows, dashboards, reports, and system improvements.
• Manage technology projects from initial scope through implementation and adoption.
• Create documentation, training, and processes that enable the organization to scale.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a builder and doer , not someone who needs a large internal team to execute.

The ideal candidate brings:

• 7+ years of progressive experience in business systems, enterprise applications, IT systems consulting, software administration, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience administering and optimizing an ERP platform , ideally Sage 100 or a comparable mid-market ERP.
• Experience with CRM platforms such as HubSpot .
• Experience with e-commerce/POS platforms; Shopify experience is a plus .
• Strong experience with SaaS applications, system integrations, APIs, workflow automation, implementations, migrations, and upgrades.
• Experience working across multiple departments and directly with senior executives.
• Understanding of data architecture, data warehouses, BI/reporting, and enterprise-wide integrations.
• Ability to evaluate technology from both a technical and business perspective .
• Strong project-management, vendor-management, analytical, and communication skills.

Experience in IT systems consulting or a broad systems implementation environment would be particularly attractive.

There are no initial direct reports . You will personally lead projects and manage outside vendors, consultants, and service providers as needed.
