Commodities - Business Transformation Manager

Our client, a large Hedge Fund with their global HQ in NYC is adding to their internal project / consulting team. This crucial role will drive their cross-functional initiatives within their commodities trading businesses. This position partners with stakeholders across departments and regions to translate business needs into practical solutions that improve processes, strengthen collaboration, and support change initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Drive engagement in change initiatives by coordinating communications, training activities, facilitating user testing, and helping teams adopt updated processes and procedures.

• Manage projects involving process improvement, organizational change, and business systems, working closely with technology teams to support functional requirements and delivery.

• Identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities in current workflows, then collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement practical enhancements.

• Document business processes, controls, findings, and recommendations with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements:

• At least 6 years of experience in business analysis, business change, project delivery, or a related function.

• Background in a commercial or risk-focused environment within physical commodities trading, consulting, or a similar industry setting is necessary.

• Understanding of physical oil, gas, or power markets across multiple transaction types and geographies is desirable.

• Experience supporting system implementation efforts from a business or functional perspective.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present conclusions, actions, and next steps clearly.

• Experience creating processes and control documentation and producing accurate, high-quality deliverables.
