Busser

At Gary's, our front-of-house team works closely together, and bussers are essential to keeping the dining room clean, welcoming, and running smoothly. You will help keep tables clean and ready for guests, supports servers during dinner service, and helps maintain a tidy, organized dining area. This is a great part-time role for someone who wants a set two-night schedule and enjoys a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Schedule

• Monday and Tuesday dinner shifts only, [start time] to [end time]
• Both shifts each week are required

Responsibilities

• Clear and reset tables promptly after guests leave, including dishes, glassware, silverware, and condiments
• Wipe down tables, chairs, and booths, and sweep or spot-mop floors as needed
• Set tables with silverware, napkins, plates, waters, etc.
• Refill water, tea, and condiments, and deliver items to tables as requested
• Carry dirty dishes to the dishwashing area and sort them properly
• Restock service stations as needed
• Help with dining room setup before service and cleanup at close
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
• Alert servers or management to guest needs, spills, or safety hazards
• Greet guests warmly and support a positive dining experience

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• No prior experience required; training provided
• Ability to work quickly and stay organized during busy periods
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
• Basic communication skills in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus
• Reliable and punctual, with the ability to commit to both Monday and Tuesday evenings

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30-40 lbs (bus tubs, trays of dishes)
• Ability to bend, reach, and move quickly in a busy environment
