Busser

Char Bar is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Busser to support daily restaurant operations and help maintain clean, organized, and welcoming dining areas. This role involves clearing and resetting tables, assisting servers, restocking supplies, and supporting the front-of-house team during busy service periods. The ideal candidate is attentive, hardworking, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Clear and clean tables promptly after guests leave.
• Reset tables with clean plates, utensils, napkins, and other required items.
• Assist servers with routine dining-room and guest-service duties.
• Deliver food, beverages, and other items to tables when needed.
• Maintain clean and organized dining areas throughout each shift.
• Restock napkins, utensils, glassware, condiments, and other service supplies.
• Assist with keeping service stations clean, organized, and properly stocked.
• Help maintain smooth guest and table flow during busy periods.
• Support opening, closing, and routine restaurant cleaning duties.
• Communicate guest requests or service needs to servers and supervisors.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace procedures.
• Work cooperatively with servers, kitchen staff, hosts, and management.

Qualifications

• Previous busser, restaurant, café, hospitality, or customer-service experience is helpful.
• Friendly, respectful, and professional approach to guests.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good attention to cleanliness and organization.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Willingness to assist coworkers and learn restaurant procedures.
• Able to remain active and organized during busy service periods.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
