Duties

• Clear and reset tables efficiently to prepare for new guests, ensuring a spotless and inviting appearance
• Assist servers by bussing tables promptly, delivering clean dishes, silverware, and glassware as needed
• Maintain cleanliness in all dining areas, including sweeping floors, wiping surfaces, and sanitizing tables and chairs according to food safety standards
• Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of trays, chairs, or supplies while practicing safe lifting techniques
• Support food handling and sanitation procedures to uphold health regulations and ensure guest safety
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate table turnover and address guest needs promptly
• Assist with setting tables according to restaurant standards, including placement of utensils, napkins, and condiments

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is key!
• Familiarity with cleaning protocols, sanitation practices, and food safety standards is advantageous
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and interact politely with guests
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
• Knowledge of table setting techniques and catering experience can be beneficial but are not mandatory; training will be provided for eager learners
