Calma · Cocina · Mar · Agave is an upscale Mexican coastal restaurant on Los Feliz Blvd. We cook over fire and pull from the sea: raw bar crudos, ceviche and aguachile, Osetra caviar on blue-corn tostadas, whole crispy snapper, zarandeado lobster, and prime carne asada. Our bar centers on tequila and mezcal. We want a team that is warm, sharp, and proud of good hospitality.

THE ROLE

We're looking for a Busser who stays sharp and keeps the dining room running smoothly. You'll keep tables ready, support servers, and help each guest's experience feel smooth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clear, reset, and set tables quickly to Calma's standards

• Pour water, deliver bread, and clear plates and glassware between courses

• Support servers with table maintenance, marking silverware, and running food when needed

• Help set up for tableside service, shared plates, and whole-fish presentations

• Keep side stations, the floor, and service areas clean and stocked

• Help with opening and closing side work

• Communicate with servers, hosts, and the kitchen to keep tables turning on time

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous busser or restaurant experience preferred, but we'll train the right person

• Positive attitude, attention to detail, and a strong sense of urgency

• California Food Handler Card (or able to get one within 30 days of hire)

• California RBS certification, if your duties include delivering alcoholic beverages (required within 60 days of hire)

• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Able to stand and walk for long shifts and carry bus tubs and trays (up to 40 lbs)

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience in an upscale or fine-dining restaurant

• Interest in growing into a server or bartender role

• Bilingual Spanish/English

Job Type: Full-time and part-time positions available

Schedule: Calma is open Tuesday–Thursday 3 PM–11 PM, Friday 3 PM–12 AM, Saturday 11 AM–12 AM (brunch from 11 AM), and Sunday 11 AM–10 PM (brunch from 11 AM); closed Monday. Shifts include evenings, weekends, and weekend brunch.

Pay: Minimum wage + tips
