Job Summary

Shirley's Diner is seeking a reliable and friendly Busser to help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining area. The ideal candidate will support servers and other restaurant team members by clearing tables, resetting dining spaces, and ensuring guests have a comfortable dining experience.

This position is well suited for someone who works efficiently, communicates respectfully, and enjoys contributing to a team in a busy restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Clear used dishes, glasses, utensils, and napkins from tables.
• Clean and sanitize tables and dining areas between guest visits.
• Reset tables with clean silverware, napkins, and other necessary items.
• Assist servers with delivering food and beverages when needed.
• Refill water glasses and help respond to basic guest requests.
• Keep dining areas, walkways, and service stations neat and organized.
• Restock plates, utensils, napkins, and other restaurant supplies.
• Help maintain cleanliness in the lobby and other guest-facing areas.
• Communicate with servers and supervisors to support efficient service.
• Follow restaurant cleanliness, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.

Requirements

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Dependability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and carry items throughout a shift.
• Ability to lift trays and restaurant supplies as required.
• Previous busser or restaurant experience is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
