Duties

• Greet guests promptly with a friendly attitude, managing reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
• Assist servers by delivering food and beverages quickly and accurately, ensuring orders meet quality standards.
• Clear and reset tables swiftly to maintain a clean and inviting dining space.
• Support food preparation and handling tasks in the kitchen as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including bussing tables, sweeping floors, and sanitizing surfaces regularly.
• Handle guest inquiries courteously in person and over the phone, providing excellent customer service.
• Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems for order taking and cash handling with accuracy and integrity.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy hours.
• Assist with banquet or catering setups when required, ensuring all guest needs are met promptly.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service roles is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly through the restaurant, and lift moderate loads when necessary.
• Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
• Familiarity with beverage preparation, dishwashing, and general kitchen operations is advantageous.
• A friendly demeanor combined with excellent phone etiquette enhances guest relations.
• Previous experience in hospitality or hotel environments can be beneficial but is not mandatory; eagerness to grow within the industry is valued.

Pay: $9.00 - $11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5.0 – 15.0 per week
