Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and guiding them to their seats or reservations.
• Manage restaurant reservation systems and coordinate seating to optimize flow and reduce wait times.
• Handle phone communications professionally, answering inquiries about reservations, menu items, or general questions with clear and friendly communication.
• Take and prepare beverage orders as a skilled barista, creating high-quality drinks that delight guests’ palates.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station, dining area, and bar to uphold food safety standards and a welcoming environment.
• Use POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow, guest satisfaction, and timely table turnover.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential!
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage reservations and seating efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and guest relations.
• Familiarity with restaurant table management systems and POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and restaurant operations is advantageous.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and attention to detail.
