Busser/Food Runner

Duties

• Clear and reset tables promptly, maintaining a clean and organized dining area to enhance guest comfort.
• Safely transport food from kitchen to tables using proper manual handling and safe lifting practices.
• Assist servers by delivering food orders efficiently, ensuring timely service and presentation standards are met.
• Maintain cleanliness in all service areas, including sweeping, wiping down surfaces, and disposing of trash responsibly.
• Support the kitchen team with basic food handling and preparation tasks as needed, adhering to food safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with team members and guests to ensure smooth service flow and address any special requests or needs.
• Handle heavy lifting of supplies or equipment with proper techniques to prevent injury and ensure safety compliance.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
• Familiarity with food running, bussing, or supporting front-of-house operations enhances your ability to excel in this role.
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus for understanding order processing.
• Experience with banquet or large event service can be beneficial for managing high-volume settings.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly attitude are essential for providing outstanding guest services.
• Basic understanding of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and culinary practices supports your success in this position.
