Brookfield Diner Is hiring for the Busser/Host position.

Hello, as a Busser/Host your responsibilities will be to help and cooperate with your co-workers to keep the restaurant clean and neat. We are open Wednesday through Sunday 7am-7pm & 7am-8pm on Friday , I am looking for a Busser/Host for the afternoon/evening shift from 2pm or 3pm (we can work it out.) please stop in and ask for an application in person. Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover
• Assist servers by bussing tables promptly, clearing dishes, and resetting tables with proper sanitation and table setting techniques
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces, and ensuring sanitation standards are met throughout service
• Support food handling and delivery by safely transporting dishes from kitchen to tables using proper manual handling and safe lifting practices
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate service flow and address guest needs promptly
• Help with cleaning on a day where the establishment is closed.
• Manage heavy lifting tasks such as moving chairs or supplies while adhering to safe lifting practices to prevent injury

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is key
• Strong communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and proper sanitation procedures
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry
• Experience with table setting, bussing, serving, or catering is advantageous
• A proactive attitude with excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk throughout the restaurant, and perform cleaning duties effectively
