Busser/Server Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist servers by bussing tables promptly, clearing dishes, and resetting tables efficiently to maintain a clean and inviting dining space
• Perform thorough cleaning duties, including sanitizing surfaces, floors, and dining areas to uphold health standards
• Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, tableware, and equipment following safe lifting practices
• Support food handling and service by delivering items from the kitchen to tables with care and professionalism
• Maintain clear internal communication with team members to coordinate service flow and address guest needs swiftly
• Ensure proper sanitation and food safety procedures are followed during all cleaning and serving activities
• Assist with catering setups and breakdowns when required, supporting overall restaurant operations

Qualifications

• Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and guests
• Knowledge of sanitation, food safety standards, and proper table setting techniques
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
• Experience in hospitality or catering environments is a plus but not required
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean, safe environment
