Key responsibilities
- Cut, trim, bone, grind, and dice carcasses or large meat portions into retail-ready cuts like steaks and chicken
- Weigh, wrap, price and display products attractively
- Greet customers and offer cooking advice or custom cuts
- Clean and sanitize tools, equipment and work areas to comply with food safety legislation
- Monitor stock levels, inspect deliveries, track budgets and order supplies
About you
- Ability to stand for long periods, work in cold refrigerated environments and lift heavy items
- Proficiency with hand tools, knives, saw and grinders
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Certified food handler's certificate
