Butcher Supervisor

Lead a High-Performing Butchery Team and Deliver Exceptional Customer Service Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Butcher Supervisor to join our team in Antrim. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled butcher with strong leadership abilities who is passionate about delivering high-quality products, outstanding customer service and developing others.

Working closely with the Store Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day operation of the butchery department, ensuring products are prepared to the highest standards while maintaining food safety compliance, driving sales performance and supporting the development of the wider team.

Key Duties

• You'll be responsible for leading the butchery department and ensuring excellent operational standards are maintained.
• Lead, motivate and support the butchery team to achieve operational and sales targets
• Prepare and present quality meat products to customer and company specifications
• Deliver exceptional customer service and promote product knowledge across the team
• Monitor stock levels, stock rotation, wastage and ordering requirements
• Ensure food safety, hygiene and Health & Safety standards are consistently maintained
• Train, coach and develop team members to improve performance and capability
• Maintain high standards of merchandising, counter presentation and department appearance
• Support the Store Manager and provide management cover when required

Ideal Candidate

• We're looking for an experienced butcher who can lead by example and inspire others.
• Experience within a retail butchery environment
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of meat preparation techniques and food safety requirements
• Excellent customer service, communication and people management skills
• Organised, proactive and confident making decisions in a fast-paced environment
