We are looking for a reliable and experienced individual to join a halal grocery and meat store in Langley.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a butcher shop or meat department. Experience with halal meat preparation and customer service is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities include:

• Cutting, preparing, packaging, and displaying meat products
• Maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards in the meat department
• Marinating and preparing meats
• Assisting customers with meat selections and special requests
• Receiving and checking deliveries
• Monitoring product freshness and expiry dates
• Maintaining a clean and organized store
• Operating the cash register when required
• Providing friendly and professional customer service
• Assisting with general day-to-day store operations

Qualifications:

• Previous butcher, meat cutting, grocery, or food retail experience needed
• Experience working with halal meat is an asset
• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Comfortable lifting boxes and standing for extended periods
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
