Job Overview
.We are looking for a hardworking and motivated part-time butcher to join our family-run butchers shop, working with our own home reared livestock. The role includes preparing and cutting high-quality meat, maintaining cleanliness and food hygiene standards, assisting customers, and helping present products to a high standard. We are looking for someone who also has a spark for creativity — whether that’s creating new products, eye-catching displays, or bringing fresh ideas to the shop. A passion for quality local produce, pride in workmanship, and a willingness to learn are essential

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cutting home reared beef, lamb, and pork to a high standard
• Producing quality cuts and preparing meat for the shop counter
• Making value-added products such as sausages, burgers, kebabs, or seasonal specials
• Maintaining excellent hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards at all times
• Serving customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Helping create attractive counter displays and shop presentation
• Working efficiently both independently and as part of a small team
• Being dependable, punctual, and prepared for work
• Must be able to work Sundays

Experience

• Experience working in a customer-facing or retail environment is beneficial
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
• Interest in locally reared produce and quality meat preparation
• Previous butchery experience required
• Knowledge of different cuts of meat and preparation methods

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £13.00 per hour
