Butchery Assistant (Merchandiser)

ABOUT THE ROLE;

Our Butchery is renowned for providing customers with high quality cuts of meat at great value for money and with friendly personable service. It's a very fast-paced environment with the department processing tonnes of product every week! You'll join a team committed to maintaining quality meat cuts and top presentation standards to our valued customers.

This role is part time, working 28 hours per week on the following roster:

Monday: 7am - 3:30pm****Tuesday: 1pm - 5pm Friday: 8:30am - 5pm Saturday: 8:30am - 5pm

Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining our high merchandising standards in the meat cases
• Rotation of stock & quality checks
• Working with department leaders to ensure stock levels are maintained
• Interacting with customers and assisting them with queries
• Assist with meat packing when required

What are we looking for;

• A committed and enthusiastic individual with a positive "lead by example" attitude.
• An understanding of production requirements within a high-volume FMCG/retail environment.  The ability to work quickly to process large volumes of meat daily.
• Being able to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• A great work ethic, a reliable and supportive team member, with the ability to comply with our strict food safety and health and safety policies.
• Candidates mustbe able to work a weekend day each week.
• All candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and have current rights to work in New Zealand.
