Buyer

Responsibilities:

• Managing supplier relationships, resolving issues, and monitoring supplier performance
• Placing orders with approved suppliers based on requisitions and expediting critical materials
• Developing reports for vendor performance, purchase volumes, and on-time delivery
• Verifying that all procurement activities comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements
• Developing and implementing demand planning strategies to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts
• Collaborate with Planning & Customer Support team to understand demand fluctuations and adjust planning accordingly
• Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring adequate stock to meet production needs
• Coordinating with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Maintaining material, supplier, and planning system data in MRP/ERP systems
• Developing reports on inventory levels, stockouts, and other planning-related metrics (OTD, Push Outs & Pull Ins)

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Experienced in ERP system (Navision, SAP etc.)
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Positive attitude, self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in purchasing technical commodity like machining items/sheet metal parts will be an added advantage
• Strong Background in Manufacturing & Planning background
