Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate planned orders and exception reports using Oracle to ensure optimal material availability and inventory levels.
• Analyse production and operational requirements for raw materials, supplies, equipment, and other purchasing needs across internal stakeholders.
• Source materials and services by obtaining, evaluating, and comparing supplier quotations and bid proposals.
• Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost-effective and timely procurement outcomes.
• Issue and manage purchase orders through Oracle Applications, ensuring accurate and timely procurement of materials and equipment.
• Monitor and expedite deliveries to ensure materials are received according to production and operational schedules.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while exercising sound judgement in sourcing quality products at competitive prices.
• Coordinate with suppliers, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support procurement requirements.
• Investigate and address supplier quality issues, non-conformances, and defective goods, implementing corrective actions to maintain supply standards.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchases, costs, delivery performance, product quality metrics, and inventory data.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and support efficient inventory management and purchasing processes.
• Perform additional procurement and supply chain duties as assigned to support business and operational objectives.

Job Requirements

• Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and suppliers.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret data and support purchasing decisions.
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and sound decision-making abilities.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
• Team-oriented mindset with the flexibility to support cross-functional business requirements.
