Perfume Price is a leading fragrance distribution company with over 20 years of industry experience. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented Buyer to join our Purchasing team and help manage inventory procurement across our growing product portfolio.

Position Overview

The Buyer is responsible for purchasing inventory, managing supplier relationships, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring products are available to meet customer demand. This role works closely with vendors, warehouse operations, accounting, sales, and customer service teams to maintain optimal inventory levels, coordinate inbound shipments, and support company growth.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, spreadsheets, solving problems, negotiating with vendors, making purchasing decisions, and building a long-term career in purchasing, supply chain, or operations.

Key Responsibilities

Purchasing & Inventory Management

• Create, manage, and maintain purchase orders from placement through receipt.
• Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock based on sales trends, forecasts, and business needs.
• Analyze inventory performance to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
• Maintain purchasing records, reports, pricing, and inventory data.
• Assist in identifying purchasing opportunities and improving inventory performance.

Vendor Management

• Communicate with domestic and international vendors regarding purchase orders, pricing, availability, lead times, and deliveries.
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Resolve supplier issues involving shortages, delays, pricing discrepancies, and damaged goods.
• Evaluate vendor performance and assist with sourcing activities as needed.

Shipment & Supply Chain Coordination

• Monitor inbound shipments, provide ETA updates, and coordinate receipt of inventory.
• Follow up on open purchase orders and shipment documentation.
• Coordinate with freight providers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure timely deliveries.

Data & System Management

• Create and maintain product, vendor, pricing, and inventory information within company systems.
• Support item maintenance, reporting, purchasing analysis, and research activities.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory data within the ERP system.

Cross-Functional Support

• Coordinate with warehouse, accounting, sales, and customer service teams to resolve issues and support daily operations.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries through email, WhatsApp, website, and other communication channels.
• Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives within the purchasing department.

Qualifications

Experience

• 2+ years of purchasing, buying, procurement, inventory management, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in a wholesale, distribution, retail, or inventory-driven environment is strongly preferred.
• Experience managing vendor relationships is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Comfortable working with inventory reports and large data sets.

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.
