Buyer

WHO WE ARE:

We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our Purchasing team at AVT.

In this role, you will manage purchase orders, coordinate with local and international suppliers, and ensure the timely availability of materials to support our production activities.

You will be part of a collaborative team, working closely with different departments in a dynamic, international environment.

WITHIN YOUR ROLE, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Manage and follow up on purchase orders with local and international suppliers, ensuring timely confirmations and deliveries.
• Monitor delivery schedules, identify potential material shortages or delays, and proactively follow up to minimize disruptions.
• Maintain ongoing communication with suppliers and resolve discrepancies between purchase orders, confirmations, and actual deliveries.
• Prioritize purchasing activities based on production schedules and operational needs.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, order status updates, and relevant reports in the Priority ERP system.
• Work closely with Production Planning, Warehouse, Logistics, Finance, Quality, and Engineering teams.
• Communicate supply risks and coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure material availability.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

• At least 3 years of experience in operational purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with local and international suppliers.
• Strong Excel skills, including data tracking and reporting.
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems; knowledge of Priority is an advantage.
• Experience in an industrial or high-tech manufacturing environment is an advantage.
• Good command of English, particularly in reading and writing.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Good communication skills, a proactive approach, and strong follow-up skills.
