Buyer

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Buyer to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the purchasing process, ensuring that materials and services are procured in a timely manner while maintaining quality standards. This role requires strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively. The Buyer will play a crucial role in supporting production planning and ensuring compliance with federal acquisition regulations.

Responsibilities

• Procure goods and services in alignment with company needs and budget constraints.
• Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluation and contract management.
• Negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and pricing while ensuring quality management standards are met.
• Utilize MRP systems and Oracle EBS for inventory management and procurement processes.
• Collaborate with production planning teams to forecast material requirements and ensure timely availability of supplies.
• Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations during the procurement process.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications.

Experience

• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Familiarity with MRP systems, Oracle EBS, and other procurement software is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of quality management principles and supplier management practices.
• Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations is a plus.
• Excellent contract negotiation skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with suppliers.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, enabling effective decision-making in purchasing activities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
