Buyer / Purchasing Executive (Electronics Manufacturing)

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage daily purchasing activities including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, purchase change orders and supplier RFQs.
• Source, review and analyse supplier quotations to achieve competitive pricing, quality and delivery requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturing, planning and engineering teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
• Follow up and expedite material deliveries to support production schedules and customer commitments.
• Manage supplier communication on order status, delivery timelines and material requirements.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and update procurement system information.
• Monitor inventory movement and support effective material management.
• Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, terms and delivery schedules to achieve the best value for the company.
• Work closely with suppliers and internal Engineering/QA teams to resolve material or quality-related issues.
• Monitor subcontract activities, costs and schedules to ensure timely completion and quality requirements are met.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Electronics, Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of purchasing experience within an electronics manufacturing environment.
• Experience handling suppliers, RFQ, PO processing and material expediting.
• Familiar with ERP/MRP systems and purchasing processes.
• Good understanding of procurement activities, supplier coordination and inventory movement.
• Strong negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills.
